Gastro Cappadocia Food Festival

Gastronomy Cappadocia was introduced with the "Gastro Cappadocia Food Festival" event "Another Cappadocia (Tastes of Cappadocia, Mustafapaşa)" and "Gastro Cappadocia Food Festival" events, on 16-17 May 2022, under the auspices of the Nevşehir Governor's Office; It was organized with the cooperation of Cappadocia University, Ürgüp District Governorship, Ürgüp Municipality, Ahiler Development Agency and Cappadocia Area Presidency. During the event; The village of Mustafapaşa, declared one of the best tourism villages in the world by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), was introduced, and the opportunity to experience the unique flavors of Cappadocia was offered to the public and tourists in the unique environment of the region. Thanks to Another Cappadocia (Tastes of Cappadocia, Mustafapaşa) event, it was aimed to highlight the gastronomic richness that is in the background among the other tourism assets of Cappadocia. The Cappadocia gastronomy inventory, prepared in line with this goal and presented to the public on the www.gastrocappadocia.com portal, was introduced to the guests and they were given the opportunity to experience the flavors of the region. On the first day of the event, the dishes of the regional cuisine prepared by the Cappadocia University Cookery and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Departments were presented to the event participants at the Seraphim Cave Hotel in Mustafapaşa. On the second day of the event, breakfast was prepared in the old Ürgüp TEKEL Wine Factory, in the new KÜN Factory Campus, with products specific to the region. The breakfast was held with the joint work of our University and Nevşehir women's cooperatives. While promoting local flavors with the event, it was aimed to increase the visibility of local businesses. Gastro Cappadocia Food Festival, Nevşehir women's cooperatives, associations and local producers promote and sell their products; It was the scene of entertaining activities, competitions and presentations.
