Nevşehir has a markedly continental climate with hot and dry summers and cold and snowy winters. 

Regarding the amount of precipitation, it can be seen that the months of summer (July-August) and autumn (September-October) are usually arid and dry. 
Generally the months of winter and spring are dominated by the south wi nds a nd the west wi nds, wh ile the months of su m mer are dom i nated by the north winds and the Levanter. Therefore the "broiling" hot summers are generally not experienced in the region. 
in Nevşehir, which has a continental climate, the dominant vegetation is comprised of steppe plants. Main plants are: bushy plants such as milk vetches, types of thymus, harmal seeds, mulleins, meadow grass, heathers, mole plants, hawthorns, rye grass and rose hips. 

Even though Nevşehir does not have wide and lush forests, certain regions of the province have certain forests. Oak trees are the dominant type of trees in these forests.
